  Thatch Caye is a private island of about 11 acres, roughly 9 miles off Dangriga and about two miles from the Belize Barrier Reef.

• Airstrip and boat transfer

  Staff meet guests at the Dangriga airstrip, drive them to the dock at Pelican Beach Resort, and the boat ride to the island takes about 25 minutes.

• Thirty guests at most

  The resort takes no more than 30 guests at a time, in overwater bungalows and oceanfront cabanas.
